P&M 7 Year Old Corsican Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 42%)

This is a seven year old single malt from Corsica, made by Mavela Distillery under the P&M name and bottled at 42% in a 70cl bottle. The barley is malted, brewed and fermented by Brasserie Pietra, then distilled in a single pass in their Holstein still. Maturation takes place in 220-litre oak casks from the Tronçais forest, made by Seguin Moreau and previously seasoned with Muscat Petit Grain and white Vermentinu wine from Domaine Gentile in Patrimonio. It is described as having subtle peat, a very smooth texture and elegant fruity notes.
