Paddy is a triple-distilled blended Irish whiskey in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It comes from the Cork Distilleries Company in Midleton, County Cork. The blend combines grain, malt and pot-still whiskey, made from malted and unmalted barley grown in East Cork and water from the River Dungourney. It has an unusually high proportion of malt whiskey and matures in three different types of oak cask. The name comes from Paddy Flaherty, a salesman whose generous sample pours led publicans to order the whiskey by his first name. The nose is fruity and nutty, with honey, vanilla and gentle spice. The palate is sweet and light with malt, vanilla and butterscotch, and the finish ends dry and peppery.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
