The 2008 release is described as 100% Stitzel-Weller and is signed by Julian Van Winkle III. The mash bill is wheated, using corn, wheat and malted barley with no rye, which gives soft, velvety textures and a mellow sweetness. Tasting notes describe a nose of oiled leather, cigar box and dark fruits with hints of vanilla and spice. The palate shows citrus zest, sherry, dried apricot, coffee and tobacco, followed by a very long, elegant finish with oak and minerality.
