Paul John Classic is a cask strength single malt from Goa on the Indian coast, bottled at 55.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is made with barley grown at the foot of the Himalayas, and is non-chill-filtered with no added colour or flavour. The nose is fruity and malty, woven with honey and a hint of bourbon. Barley comes through at once on the palate, with a soft blend of bourbon, manuka honey and liquorice, then an unexpected taste of toasted honey cake. The finish is elegant, with juicy Demerara notes.
