Paul John – Peated Bold Indian Single Malt

Paul John Peated Bold is an Indian single malt whisky made in Goa. It is a smoky, peated expression with a liquid gold colour. The nose opens with a slight whiff of smoke before Manuka honey, prickly spice and bourbon-like red liquorice come through. On the palate the delivery is silky, with honeyed oak, then a second wave of spice and a smoky, cloudy feel that leaves dry molasses, peaty soot and a hint of copper. The finish is light, with a touch of copper and a smoked mocha note shaped by delicate spices.
