The second wine of Château Léoville Poyferré, from Saint-Julien in Bordeaux. Made mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, it has a robust structure and a complex aromatic profile. The nose offers ripe black fruit, citrus peel and light exotic spice, while the palate is balanced with mature tannins and fresh fruit. It matures for 18 months in French oak barriques, adding vanilla and chocolate notes. It suits red meat roasts, game or aged cheeses and can be enjoyed young or aged.
