Peerless Small Batch is a straight rye whiskey from Kentucky, in a 75cl bottle.
Its makers credit a distinctive distilling process for a smooth character that sets it apart from many other ryes. It is described as a well balanced, sipping rye.
In the glass, the notes run to maple, brown sugar and a light citrus sweetness. The finish carries a hint of oak and leaves no burn on the throat.
