Pelaverga di Verduno DOC - Speziale - Fratelli Alessandria

Speziale is produced almost exclusively in the commune of Verduno from the rare native Pelaverga Piccolo grape. It has a vivid, bright ruby-red colour and an unmistakable spicy profile, particularly pepper. On the nose it reveals a rich bouquet of flowers, spices and small red berries. In the mouth it is light, fresh and lively, with a delicate, smooth touch of tannin that keeps it balanced. It pairs with meat dishes, cured meats, risottos, focaccia, calzoni, egg-based dishes and savoury pies.
