Penderyn – Amarone Finish (70cl)

Penderyn Amarone Finish is a Welsh whisky in a 70cl bottle, finished in casks that previously held Amarone red wine. The wine finish is the focus here, setting the sweetness of the wine against the spirit. The nose offers dried fruit and ripe cherry with a little cocoa and delicate spice. On the palate come plum, dried orange peel and a thread of vanilla, with fine tannins from the wood. The finish is persistent, with a light almond note.
