Aur Cymru, meaning Welsh Gold, was the first whisky from Penderyn, launched on St David's Day, 1 March 2004. It is a Welsh single malt at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is finished in Madeira casks and bottled without chill-filtration. It is bottled by the distillery itself and has remained Penderyn's flagship expression since that first release.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
