Hailing from the esteemed Penderyn distillery in Wales, ‘Hiraeth’ serves as a poignant eighth entry in the ‘Icons of Wales’ series. This unique single malt is masterfully crafted from a vatting of double-distilled, ex-bourbon whisky balanced with a portion of single-distilled spirit finished in STR casks. Named for the untranslatable Welsh concept of profound longing and nostalgia, this expression captures a complex, evocative character that lingers on the palate.
