Penderyn – Madeira Single Malt Welsh Whisky (46%)

Penderyn Madeira is a Welsh single malt from the Penderyn distillery, distilled in a copper Faraday still. It is matured in bourbon casks and then finished in Madeira wine casks, and is bottled at 46% vol. It is the distillery's emblematic style. The nose offers butterscotch, ripe fruit and raisins. The palate is round, balancing sweetness and freshness, with vanilla, caramel and gentle spice. The finish lingers on tropical fruit, grapes and vanilla. It is best neat in a tulip glass, which suits its fruity, woody aromas.
