Penderyn – Peated (46%)

Penderyn Peated is a Welsh single malt from the Penderyn distillery, bottled at 46% ABV. It is matured in bourbon casks and then in casks that previously held peated Islay whisky, which gives a subtle smokiness alongside the distillery's characteristic sweetness. The nose combines gentle smoke with green apple, citrus and vanilla, the peat present without dominating. On the palate it is soft and harmonious, with fresh fruit, lemon, malt, vanilla and delicate smoke. The finish is lasting, balancing freshness, sweetness and smoke.
