Penderyn The Headliner is a Welsh single malt, the ninth release in the Icons of Wales series. The series marks particular people or events of international importance in Welsh history. This one honours David Lloyd George (1863-1945), the only Welsh prime minister. It is bottled at 46% abv in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in Jamaican rum casks and Ruby Port casks.
The nose offers red berries, strawberry, cream, cranberry and light oak, with vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate is rich and sweet, with dried fruits, salted caramel, flower honey and black pepper, finishing with a tannic dryness.
