Pendleton Midnight Canadian Whisky (75cl, 45%)

Pendleton Midnight is a blended Canadian whisky built around select rye whiskies, bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is distilled in Canada and bottled by Hood River Distillers in Oregon. Part of the blend spends more than six years in American brandy barrels. The whisky is brought down to strength with spring water from Mt. Hood, and it won a Gold medal at the ASCOT Awards. The nose offers leather and caramel, then cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger and honey. On the palate come toasted oak, coffee cake, candied figs and caramelised banana, with dark fruit, molasses and a note of prairie sage. The finish is full, with baking spices, pecans and walnuts, and cinnamon and honey in the tail.
