Penelope Barrel Strength Bourbon (75cl, 57.5%)

Penelope Barrel Strength is an uncut, non-chill-filtered straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle, usually at around 115 proof, or 57.5% ABV. Each batch is bottled at its own strength. It was blended and hand-bottled by Penelope Bottling Company in Bardstown, Kentucky. It is a four-grain bourbon made by blending three mash bills, with a combined recipe of 74% corn, 16% wheat, 7% rye and 3% malted barley. The whiskey was distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and Bardstown, Kentucky. The nose brings brown sugar and vanilla bean over toasted oak and baking spice. The palate is full and chewy, with a wheat softness beneath the heat.
