Penelope Bourbon Architect (75cl)

Penelope Bourbon Architect is a four-grain straight bourbon from the Architect series, finished with French oak staves placed directly in the barrel. It was distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and bottled in St. Louis, and comes in a 75cl bottle. French oak adds more tannin structure, spice and a toasty, savoury quality alongside the vanilla and caramel that both French and American oak share. The nose offers vanilla custard, caramelised sugar, cinnamon, sweet oak and light cream. The palate is smooth, with vanilla, brown sugar, baking spice and toasted French oak. The finish is warm and medium-long, with lingering vanilla and French oak spice.
