Penelope Classic Series Kentucky Rye is a straight rye whiskey from Penelope Bourbon, in a 750ml bottle. It is bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof) and is non-chill-filtered.
It is described as lively in its rye character without being overpowering, and is made for sipping as well as for cocktails such as the Manhattan, Old Fashioned and Sazerac.
The nose brings butterscotch, vanilla bean, candied orange and toasted sugar, with soft rye spice and light oak. On the palate come brown sugar, cinnamon, creamy mint and citrus peel. The finish is smooth and warming, with caramel, charred oak and dark chocolate.
