Penelope Four Grain is a straight bourbon bottled at 40% ABV and non-chill filtered. The mash bill is 75% corn, 15% wheat, 7% rye and 3% malted barley, and each batch blends three MGP distillates from hand-selected barrels. It is aged for around four years in charred American oak.
The brand is named after its founder's newborn daughter.
The nose is corn sweetness with caramel, light oak and gentle apricot, peach and mango. The palate is creamy, with brown sugar, nectarine, butterscotch and light florals. The finish is short to medium, with vanilla spice, buttercream and a little rye heat.
