Penelope Riviera Cooper Series American Whiskey Rosé Wine Cask Finish (75cl, 47%)

Riviera is an American whiskey from Penelope's Cooper Series, which finishes straight whiskey in barrels that previously held wine. It is bottled at 47% ABV, non-chill filtered, in a 75cl bottle by Penelope Bourbon Bottling Company in St. Louis. The base blends 8-year-old American Light Whiskey with Straight Bourbon. That blend is then finished in rosé wine casks, which once held the pale, dry, floral pink wines associated with Provence. Penelope describes candied fruit, floral and herbal notes, sweet vanilla, angel food cake and strawberry, with rich leather, ripe berry and a little spice underneath.
