Penelope Wheated Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 47.5%)

Penelope Wheated is a straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle, made from hand-selected MGP barrels. It is the softer, sweeter side of the Penelope range: wheat takes the place of rye as the secondary grain in the mashbill. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at 95 proof, or 47.5%, with a fuller texture than the standard Four Grain release. Warm amber in colour, it has a nose of vanilla cream, sweet grain, toasted oak and light caramel. The palate offers honey, wheat sweetness, caramel, baking spice and soft oak, and the finish is smooth and mellow with lingering sweetness and warm grain.
