Père Magloire XO is a Calvados from Normandy in France, matured in oak barrels. It has a deep amber colour.
The nose is rich with cooked apple and cinnamon, followed by vanilla and light toasted wood. On the palate it is elegant and balanced, with apple fused with dried fruit and caramel, and a subtle spiciness that carries into the finish. It can be served neat after a meal, at room temperature or lightly warmed, and it also works as a base for cocktails.
