Peureux Eau-de-Vie Vieille Extra Poire William

A pear eau-de-vie from Peureux, the distillery founded in 1864 by Auguste Peureux in Fougerolles, at the foot of the Vosges. The fruit is fermented, then distilled in large copper stills designed at the distillery, and the spirit is aged to gain softness and roundness. Clear in the glass, it has an intense, fruity aroma and a palate of pears, with a good balance between the freshness and the softness of the fruit. It can be enjoyed on its own or in a cocktail, and it is also used over fruit salad or sorbet.
