Phenorax is an 11 year old blended malt from Speyside, distilled in March 2015 and bottled in 2026 by Scotch Universe at a cask strength of 58.5%, in a 70cl bottle. It spent its whole maturation in a first-fill Ruby Port wine hogshead.
It is a smoky whisky, deep mahogany in colour, bottled without chill-filtration or added colouring.
The nose has a firm, slightly fatty peat smoke set against ripe blackberries and dark grapes. On the palate, ashy and almost phenolic peat meets the rustic texture of oats before deep port fruit takes over.
