Pierre Ferrand Sélection des Anges

A cognac from Ferrand, aged in century-old oak casks that rest on an earth floor in thick-walled cellars. The humid air there encourages a high angels' share, which gives the cognac a softness and gentleness enriched by notes of fresh fruit. The nose opens with pastry, grape, honey and vanilla, followed by apricot and fresh tobacco, with rose and jasmine behind. On the palate, wood and spice appear as pepper, nutmeg, curry and ginger, alongside pineapple, coconut, dried banana, lemon zest and almond. The finish is long and lingering.
