Pierre Frick Muscat Grains Cendrés 2019 Alsace Vendanges Tardives

This is a 2019 late harvest Muscat from Pierre Frick in Alsace, made from Muscat à petits grains. The grapes are picked by hand under the rules of the Alsace Vendanges Tardives appellation, which calls for overripe fruit concentrated by botrytis or extended time on the vine. The wine is golden. The nose is rich with floral aromas and exotic fruit, with a silky delicacy. The palate balances natural sweetness with lively acidity and runs to a long, vibrant finish. Serve at 8 to 10°C with foie gras, fruity desserts, exotic dishes or marinated fish such as ceviche and sushi.
