A red wine from Pietracupa, made from Aglianico grown in the Irpinian hills.
It shows an intense ruby colour that tends towards garnet with ageing. The nose offers ripe red fruit such as cherry and plum, with delicate spice, tobacco and cocoa notes, plus earthy and undergrowth aromas. The palate is enveloping and structured, with robust but well-integrated tannins and a balance of freshness and softness.
It pairs well with red meats, game and complex dishes of Campanian tradition.
