Pikesville is a straight rye whiskey aged six years and bottled at 110 proof, or 55%, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The name looks back to the Maryland rye tradition, and the whiskey is now made by Heaven Hill in Kentucky. It matures in new charred American oak barrels.
The nose combines cocoa and oak with a faint smokiness. The palate is dry and spicy, with honey, rye and clove, and the soft, lasting finish carries vanilla and baking spices.
