Pikesville Straight Rye Whiskey (75cl, 55%)

Pikesville Straight Rye is a rye whiskey bottled at 55%, or 110 proof, in a 75cl bottle. The brand dates back to the 1890s in Maryland, where Prohibition closed the original distillery. It reopened afterwards as the only one of its kind in the state, and production later moved to Kentucky, where the whiskey is matured in extra old casks. The nose is cocoa with small hints of smoked oak. The palate is relatively dry, with fine spices, honey, rye and cloves, finishing on sweet vanilla and spice.
