A Pineau des Charentes from François Voyer, made in the Charentes region from fresh grape must and young Cognac.
It is made mainly from Ugni Blanc grapes and rests in oak barrels. The nose shows small red fruits, floral notes and a light vanilla hint from ageing. The palate is fresh, with a rounded body and a harmonious finish.
It is suited as an aperitif, or with red-fruit and white-chocolate desserts.
