This is Pinhook 5 Year Old, a single barrel Indiana straight bourbon from Barrel No. 564, bottled at 117.1 proof. The mash bill is 75% corn, 15% rye and 10% malted barley. It is the inaugural 'Horse' release, an exclusive for the Twelve Spirits Society, timed for the Year of the Horse and Asian American Month in May 2026. The society carries on the work of the Gung Hay Fat Choy Whiskey Group, whose 12-year run began in 2013. The nose offers soft oak, bubble gum, rye spice and malt. On the palate come torched caramel, sweet cereal grains and hard candy, and the short-to-medium finish leaves cinnamon, brown sugar and a slightly herbal note.
