Pinhook Flagship Rye Whiskey 'Rye Munny' 2022 (75cl, 49.5%)

Pinhook Rye Munny 2022 is the flagship vintage rye from Pinhook, a Kentucky straight rye whiskey distilled at Castle & Key in Frankfort. It is bottled non-chill filtered at 49.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The mash is 60% rye, 20% malted barley and 20% corn, all non-GMO and locally sourced, and the whiskey spends a minimum of two years in new charred oak. Co-founder and master blender Sean Josephs blends it, and each Pinhook vintage is named for a thoroughbred. The 2022 leans floral and fruity before the rye spice takes over. The nose is bright pear, clove, walnut and honeycomb. The palate brings baked apple, black pepper, toffee and banana, and the finish is rye spice with floral, fruity notes fading into warmth.
