Pinhook Vertical Series 11 Year Straight Bourbon Whiskey 2026 Release (75cl, 57.2%)

This is an 11 year old straight bourbon from Pinhook, the 2026 release in its Vertical Series. The series follows one original group of 1,350 barrels from four to sixteen years old, with the first release, at four years, appearing in 2019. For this bottling, 62 barrels were selected and blended, then brought to 57.2% ABV. The mash bill is 75% corn, 20.5% rye and 4.5% malted barley. It is non-chill filtered, and the label shows Bourbon War, the thoroughbred linked to the series. The nose brings burnt orange peel, molasses, white pepper and cedar. On the palate it is coating and full-bodied, with ripe strawberry, crème brûlée, toasted almond and candied cinnamon.
