Pinhook Tiz Rye Time is a 7 year old straight rye whiskey from the Vertical Series, bottled at 52.58% (105.16 proof). It was blended from just 28 barrels of MGP whiskey, with a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. The Vertical Series follows a single group of MGP barrels as they mature from four to 12 years, with the proof set each year to suit that vintage's blend. This is the seven year old release. The nose is lively, with caramel, orange zest, cedar and clove. The palate is powerful, with chocolate, root beer, cardamom and tobacco.
