A 12-year-old aged rum from Trinidad Distillers Limited, bottled at 51.8% without added sugar. It first matured for eleven months in 200-litre ex-bourbon casks in the distillery's own cellars in Trinidad, then crossed the Atlantic to mature for a further year in Maison Ferrand French oak casks in France. Twenty-four casks were used for this bottling.
The nose has vanilla, caramel, good coffee and candied exotic fruit. The palate has power, almond, citrus fruit, vanilla, complexity and sweetness. The total volatile substances are 525 g/hLAA and the ester content is 205 g/hLAA.
Very few bottles were received.
