Plymouth Sloe Gin (75cl)

Plymouth Sloe Gin is a traditional English sloe gin, technically a liqueur, made at the Blackfriars Distillery in Plymouth to a recipe first used in 1883. Hand-foraged sloe berries are steeped in Plymouth Gin with Dartmoor water and a deliberately small amount of sugar for about four months. The low sugar lets the dry acidity of the fruit play its part in the taste. The balance is sweet and bitter, with mellow sloe berry, sweet cherry and a hint of almonds from the stone. It is smooth and full-bodied, with warm notes of plum, cinnamon and blackberry.
