A grappa from Poli, made from Merlot pomace distilled shortly after fermentation.
It is produced by discontinuous distillation in copper stills. The spirit is crystal clear, with a nose of fresh fruity Merlot notes, floral hints and a light herbaceous touch, and a palate that is soft and balanced, with a sweet entry followed by a pleasant astringency.
It is suited to the end of a meal, served at room temperature or slightly chilled, and can be paired with dark chocolate or used in cocktails.
