Poli Elisir Limone (70cl, 32%)

Elisir Limone is a lemon liqueur from the Poli distillery, founded in 1898 at Schiavon, near Bassano del Grappa in the Veneto. The distillery is still run by the Poli family, now in its fourth generation, and the liqueur is bottled at 32% in a 70cl bottle. It is made by macerating lemon peel in alcohol, followed by a slow distillation, and has a bright yellow colour. The nose is led firmly by lemon, with light herbal and floral notes. The palate balances sweetness and acidity, and the finish is lasting and fresh. It can be served cold after a meal, or with tonic or soda.
