Segretario di Stato is a whisky from Poli, a historic Italian distillery. It comes in a 70cl bottle, housed in a metal tube. The whisky was aged in the distillery's own warehouses, and its character is described as malty and woody, with a discreet touch of peat running through it. On the nose it shows malt and wood with vanilla and sweet spice. The palate brings toasted cereals, dried fruit and a hint of peat, and the finish recalls caramel and red berries, with a light smokiness.
