A red wine from the Montepulciano region, made predominantly from Sangiovese. Poliziano was founded in 1961. The wine is aged with careful use of wood and monitored vinification. It shows a vivid ruby red colour that tends slightly towards garnet with age. The nose offers ripe cherry, subtle spice and a hint of vanilla from barrique ageing. On the palate it is round and well balanced, with sweet tannins and Sangiovese acidity, and a persistent finish of fruit and spice.
