Pommard En boeuf - Eric Boigelot

A Pinot Noir from the Pommard area of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. The En Boeuf parcel has soils rich in limestone and clay, giving the wine intense structure and aromatic depth. Hand-harvested grapes are vinified with care and aged in fine wood. The nose shows ripe cherry, currant, light earthy nuances, spicy and floral notes typical of Pinot Noir. On the palate it is elegant and complex, with well-integrated tannins and a long, enveloping finish. It suits red meats, game and medium-aged cheeses.
