Porfidio 2G is an Australian single malt made by Emiliano Grassl, the second generation of the Porfidio house, bottled at 43.4% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is a single-cask, single-estate whisky made from 100% blue barley grown in New South Wales, and it is non-chill-filtered with no additives.
The spirit is double distilled in a copper pot still and aged in 110-litre Australian-made casks of Quercus alba. Porfidio made its name with agave spirits in Mexico, and this whisky is the family's departure into barley.
Tasting notes describe light smokiness, honey and lemon on the nose, a buttery palate, and a finish of butter, honey and malt.
