Port Askaig Cask Strength is an Islay single malt bottled at its natural strength. It is distilled from smoked malted barley and matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
The nose brings peat, seaweed, wood smoke and candied citrus, with touches of honey and spice. The palate is robust, smoky and complex, balancing malty sweetness with a marine saltiness. The finish is very long, smoky and mineral.
