Port Askaig Sherry Cask is a Scottish single malt from the island of Islay, matured in Oloroso sherry casks. The casks bring richness and dried fruit character to the peated spirit.
It is bottled at 50.5% ABV, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring.
The nose is rich, with raisins, chocolate and orange alongside peat smoke and a touch of liquorice. On the palate, dried fruit and chocolate meet orange, grilled meat and smoke. The finish is long, with cocoa, dried mint and a salty note.
