Port Charlotte 10 Year is the heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The barley is 100% Scottish and peated to 40 parts per million. Over ten years the whisky matured in 65% first-fill American whiskey barrels, 25% second-fill French wine casks and 10% second-fill American whiskey barrels. The nose brings ashy smoke, heather, sea spray, caramel fudge and lemon zest. The palate has malt sweetness, grilled coconut, oyster brine, lemon tart and baking spices. The finish is long, with sweet smoke, honey-glazed bacon and lingering ash.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
