Port Charlotte is the ‘peaty’ child of Bruichladdich distillery on the Isle of Islay. This Private cask 3243 has been released as 3 year old single cask in 2012 at 46% abv. and the remaining 91 bottles as a 10 year old single cask in 2019 at a cask strength of 58.4% abv. The nose will transport you directly to Islay with the smell of sea salt and seaweed from this whisky, also smoke, and vanilla, the palate is vanilla strong with some sea mist and caramel with a medium long finish of vanilla toffee, and oak.
