Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2012 is a heavily peated single malt distilled in 2012 from barley grown on Islay.
The barley was the 2011 crop, harvested by eight Islay farms over a stormy summer, each of which had worked with the distillery before. The whisky is made from that local barley, then distilled, matured and bottled on Islay.
