Port Ellen 1978 20 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky in the Rare Malts Selection series. Distilled in 1978 and aged for twenty years, it was bottled by Diageo in 1998 as a limited edition at 60.9% ABV. Ripe pear and dried apricot lead the aromas. Dark chocolate follows on the palate, before vanilla and salt linger through the finish.
