Port Ellen – 1978 25 Years Old 4th Release (70cl, 56.2%)

This Port Ellen was distilled in 1978 and bottled in 2004 at 25 years old. It is the fourth release in the distillery's Annual Releases series, issued by Diageo within its Special Releases, and is a cask strength single malt at 56.2% in a 70cl bottle. Port Ellen, on Islay, closed in 1983, and this release was drawn from warehouse stocks held after the closure. The outturn was 5,100 bottles.
