This is a 32-year-old Port Ellen single malt, distilled in 1979 and issued as the 11th Special Release in Diageo's annual series. It comes in a 70cl bottle. Port Ellen closed and was destroyed in the 1980s. By the time of this release its whisky was known for a balance of refined peat, minerality and depth. A new Port Ellen distillery has since been built.
